Whether you call it Black Friday or Buy Nothing Day, today is going to be a long day for those who work in retail. The customer might always be right in the store, but here on LJ let's hear some stories about times when the customer was wrongedy wrong wrong.

Oh Criminey, I work at Petsmart, not what you'd think of on Black Friday, right? Wrong. We opened two freakin hours early and I've been told we will have extended holiday hours (wtf). Do you really need a chirstmas plushie and one of those obnoxious pedi-paws that badly?

If halloween was any preview of what is to come this Holiday, I'm scared. First off all of the INSANE people come in on holidays, which is to be expected. But we had these 'howl-o-ween' bags lefts from a Halloween photo thing the week before (><) and I was giving them out at the register. Well they didn't give me a lot, most of them were in the back. Well this lady came in with her two dogs and I gave her a treat bag in with the stuff she bought (the were in costume btw). Well apparently she came in the next day, mad because I only gave her one treat bag. WTF I TOLD HER that I only had ONE left at the register and I couldn't give her two. Maybe if she hadn't been too busy trying to fix the hood on her dogs lion and dinosaur costumes she would have heard me.

Seriously people. Pet Costumes = No just no

Now off to see wwhat havoc is at my work

Next week I'm going to make me 2/3 payment to Iplehouse for my Tataina (aka Midori). i should be able to pay her off by the end of the month, and hopefully I'll have her in early december. I'm very excited

Papin Stock, now with Shipping!

I am offering a complete Papin stock for $35 which INCLUDES priority shipping to anywhere in the US (internation shipping will be extra). The stock is complete and in very good condition, the only problem is one of the two beaded bracelets is missing and the shiny 'love' on the orange skirt fell off upon deboxing and I can no longer find it. Other then that there are no other flaws i can see, it spent most of the time in a bag in a box.

I don't have a camera but i can see if I can borrow someones to take pictures upon request.

I have a Pullip Papin that has has some attempted customization work. I don't think it's anything too bad, she would probably make a good project for someone who likes to 'rescue and repair' neglected and damaged dolls. If anyone is interested I'll borrow someones camera and take pictures and go over exactly what been done to her. I'll throw in an extra pair of eyechips and a few clothes and if someone wants her ill give them a good deal on some of the clothes and the wig I have with her.

My First Dolly Meet 10/18

Me and Yui went to our first meet at the Reisterstown Library, it was really nice and fun. A small group of good people. I am terrible with names and don't remember many of them (There was a Mallary there I know that ^^) I also cannot remeber whose doll belongs to who. So here are a few crappy pics that me and Lucy took. I didn't get any good pics of the tiny's or of anyone but Yui/Lucy but I was really excited and forgot to take pictures. (>< Dur)

I want to thank the people who were at this meet sooooooo much. I hope to be at a lot of the future meets, and eventualy I will remeber your names (I remember one persons name, one persons DOA name, and one dolls name who i do't even have a picture of). You gave us both such a nice first real experience with BJD's, letting us hold some of them (we got to hold this gorgeous boy and a cute little nakey puki), nad answering dumb questions. I feel sad because I didn't get pics of all of the dolls, I know I missed one SD girl with a cute cape and at least two (I think 3 or four) tinies.

So I had a *little debt that I kinda-sorta forgot about, and had eventually planned on paying off but they called and wanted money right now over th phone. Shoulda said no. Shoulda said I wasn't home >< Well I reluctantly agreed. Now I have to replace the money I sent to them and have enough to pay off my doll ASAP.

I wish I had a camera to take pictures of some of this stuff, maybe I can borrow a camera from one of my friends to take more pictures of things I want to sell. I need to try to clean my room, maybe I'll find more stuff that way. I could just have the money in two weeks or so with my paychecks but I'm getting really crappy paaychecks the next two weeks because I needed off. So I feel crappy and worried. I hope I can make at least some money selling stuff online. Maybe I'll bust out my Pullip and try to make more clothing to sell.

So I put in my Iplehouse order and put it on layaway, I'm so excited, it's kinda like a high. I really hope that I am making the right decision because if not the disapointment will b eepic. I think it's first doll anxiety because I am really excited and happy about this but just a little nervous because I've never spent this much money before.

I also put in a purchase inquiry for my girlfriends doll (who will have to live here untill she moves out), but they said things have been really busy so it might take them a few days to get back to me which is fine because 1)I needed to pay my cedit card, which I forgot and 2) I won something on ebay and need to buy it, so I have to replace it tommorrow and that money wont clear untill Monday.

After lots of pestering (I said I don't know if I could love her dolly if I didn't know who it was ^^') I got Yui to tell me who her dolly (AbioAngel Ling if I didn't mention that in a previous post). It's one of my favorite charcaters of her's, Sepro! Well kind of, she got him as Sepro's human form/first existance Maze (complicated story for another day). But of course with a new wig and eyes, voila! Sepro! So yea, now I'm happy, I can get him a blue wig and Midori can have some Sepro loving! (He is her future hubby ^^)

More good news, I may have found myself a marimo! Now I LOVE Iplehouse' EID Super Hero body but I don't know if I want Zoro to be a 70cm doll, I think I'd rather have him as a 60cm doll. I do like Elf dolls 'K' (http://www.elfdollshop.com/shop/step1.php?number=774). His face is perfect for Zoro. My only problem is I don't know if I'll like his Torso being only one piece so I'll consider doing a hybrid, I just have to find a super sexy muscular torso in a compatable resin. I'll look around and make a decision later.

Another thing is, maybe it's just the pictures but Special K (*giggle*) loks like he had a slightly darker skin tone then K, i don't know if thats true. I could always do a light tanning job, to make it look more like Zoro to me.

So Yui concinced me I know want a Roronoa Zoro from One Piece doll >< So I've been looking for the perfect scuplt for him. It's very difficult and once again I found another doll that I love and fits another character. Let me intruduce you to the potential new Vito, also know as Angell- Studio's Senior Snow Lucifer http://www.angell-studio.com/en/product.php?action=127

Now I like the head for Vito, and the outfit. I would definately give it a more masculine face-up, since Vito is the highest ranking officer in the dark lord, Kero Wine (my friends OC who I am DYING for her to get a doll of.). He can be a little pretty but I want overall masculine which is where the problem comes in. The body just isn't as masculine as I'd like so I'd either have to do some modding/blushing to give more muscel definition or swap the body out for another one. I would just buy the head but I want the default outfit for Vito! SO I've found another doll to add to my family, just not the one I was looking for.

Assuming I can find the perfect doll (I found a body I like but no head) Zoro will be my second, third, or fourth doll (depnding on when I find the perfect scuplt for him). I was going to wait untill for him to be number for but I want at least one of my dolly's to be in the same story as at least one of Yui's dolly's (her first doll is from our unnamed 'new' rp, mine is from our long running COF rp/comic/story). Maybe if I make Zoro my second doll, I can talk her into making her third doll a COF dolly (*cough*Kero*cough*). Of course right after I get Zoro I will have to send him off for scar mods on his chest and ankles ^^''''

So Volks Dark Elf Soo (DES) was the first bjd I fell in love with, I always imagined it as my character Faye. But recently, I haven't been to sure. So I looked through the owser database to see some owner pics. It really makes me realize what the difference a face-up and a wig can make. I think the only thing I don't like about her is her chin. It's too pointy. But if I could sand it down a little bit
then maybe it would suit my taste more. I'm not sure, I'm going to look at some other molds to see if one peeks my interest as being better suited for Faye.

I found a doll on DOA and I looked it up to find that it is a Leekword/Orientdoll Winged Vampire. They are so cute and tiny (12cm) and come with four different wings and you get to pick between four heads (I like Ji and Ui) and two bodies (girl or boy). Since they are relatively inexpensive ($109 a piece) maybe I'll get twins and have cute vampire twins! I know I thought I'd never get dolls that I didn't intend to use for my already made characters but... I don't stick to plans half the time anyway...

So my plan for buying Midori is as followed: Since my friend Yui is going to order clothes from Iplehouse, we are going to order together and split shipping (she pays 1/3 I pay 2/3 since I'm ordering more). Since I'm going to get a limited doll, and I know that layaway will gauruntee me one (I asked) I will put my order on 3 month layaway. I hope to do that next month. I will pay over half up it the first time (all of Yui's money and about 48% of my money) and then pay the remaining equakky over then next two months.

This may change since my hours have been cut by TWO days a week (I went from five to three) and I know it will be a little better since I got a raise for making it through my probabtional period (90 days) but thats less money then I'm use to. So I may not be able to put the order in untill november but im hoping that wont happen...I am also saving for other things so I am going to give myself $20 a week to spend, $10-$20 for all my savings, and then as much as possible I will put into my doll fund. I am going to *try* to sew things for Pullips and sell them, and maybe sell some anime/manga/video games on LJ/ebay.

Edit: Last time I said I wanted a custom wig for Midori, which I do want, but I sent out a money order on saturday to get a decent green wig so I will have one for her since a spot might not open up untill february/march to get a custom and I hopt to have her by december/january.

Doll Savings/Wishlist

This is the order I plan on saving to buy my dolls, if everything goes according to plan. I of course haven't figured the amount it will cost to customize them since I know that some of them will require a good bit of customizing. I will also include a little bit about what I have planned for at least my first doll.

-Midori (Iplehouse Tatiana Trapeze) $30/$800 (including clothes and accessories I plan to purchase with her)
I can get eyes that are perfect for Midori when I order her, but a green wig is kinda hard to find so as soon as a spot opens up I want to commission one from thothep on DOA. I know exactly what I want, a 8.5" wig with 3 parts envy and 1 part each of key lime, poison ivy, and sea nymph. I think it will look awesome and really dynamic on her face.

I want otepoti on DOA to do a set of lizard scales/spikes running down her back. Her work is gorgeous nad suits my needs perfect. I could probably get her to do wing slits and an ear mod, and probably her face-up. too,. Not to mention I want her hands manicured, maybe her feet too. I'm not sure about blushing or sueding/wiring, I guess I'll cross that bridge after I get her.
